Happy February, juicy ones!
I’m enjoying the slightly warmer weather and more frequent sunny days here in Philly, which received approximately 1/348874th an inch of snow from storm Nemo. But no matter how cold or warm it is, I love my superfood smoothies. I have a smoothie almost every day, usually as breakfast but sometimes as dinner, particularly if I’ve just finished a workout and don’t want to eat anything very heavy before heading off to bed.
The recipe I’m sharing is actually more sweet than I usually make mine — normally I skip the peaches and stick with lower-glycemic berries, but this one was intended to be more of a dessert smoothie. I wanted to try out my friend Frank Giglio’s new spice blend, Autumn Dessert Spice. It turned out amazing; here is the recipe:
1/2 Cup Strawberries
1/4 Cup banana
1/4 cup peaches
1 tsp Frank’s Finest Autumn Dessert Spice
1 pinch cinnamon
1 tsp maca
1 tsp green powder like Vitamineral Green (optional)
1/2 cup nut mylk (we used almond mylk)
1 Tbs chia seeds
Blend in a high-powered blender, top with goji berries and enjoy!

This sounds awesome Courtney! I am going to try it. You said you usually use some berries instead of peaches. What type of berries?
I use all kinds of berries, Ila! Blueberries and raspberries are my favorite, but I use strawberries and blackberries, too.
All of them work!
OOOOH NOM NOM THIS LOOKS SOOOOO GOOD!!!!!
