Upliftment in the Desert
Bonjour my darlings,
Monsoon season is in full throttle right now, and the green is sprouting!
The Interdependence Day Celebration was EPIC. I received such inspiration from accumulating more information and just from the energy of David Wolfe and Gabriel Cousens together. I entered the workshop intending to take notes that would make any Harvard valedictorian proud, but alas, became too enthralled in listening and watching to write. I did take SOME notes, however, and will post a few of them tomorrow.
Saturday night I attended my first of the monthly raw potlucks that the gorgeous Rebecca Astara has hosted for the last several months. Many of us ‘Tree people’ have been going, and this particular one there was a good 12 of us there, and perhaps about 60 people total. My darling friend Koali and I made Ani Phyo‘s coconut lemon cupcakes. We varied it slightly, here’s the final product (they were a huge hit!)
I really enjoyed venturing out of Patagonia and connecting with new people in the area. It’s uplifting for me to see a raw-enthusiast scene developing in Tucson, mostly thanks to the events organized by Rebecca.
Yay for expansion!
Love,
Courtney
