60 Day Juice Feast – Day 9

by Courtney on October 25, 2007

Today’s Feast, in order of consumption:

1 TBS bee pollen
16 oz. green juice w/ 1/2 TBS Pure Synergy & a lot of cayenne & turmeric
20 oz. orange/plum juice w/ 1 TBS hemp oil
32 oz. green juice w/ cayenne & turmeric
30 oz. coconut water
16 oz. green juice w/ cayenne & turmeric
30 oz. orange juice w/ 1/2 TBS hemp oil
2 TBS E3 Live

I also need to mention that I’ve been taking one capsule of kelp, pretty much every day. Sometimes I forget, but I’d say I’ve gotten it in most of the last 9 days. I’ve been slacking a bit on my enemas the past few days, but upon reading the ‘Enema’ download on the membership site of http://juicefeasting.com/, I’m convicted again!! I’m formulating a schedule to be able to get everything into my day – the juice, enemas, dry skin brushing, hot cold showers, and exercise…

I took a run today, and wow, what a difference already. My endurance was so much better than the last time I ran before juice feasting! I am amazed at how it has changed in just 9 days. It feels SO good to get out there and do it! It is a goal of mine on this juice feast to get in shape and more flexible! It feels like I’m going to have an entirely new physiology when I’m done with this…

Another thing I’ve noticed is my increased sensitivity to smell. There is so much more fullness and depth from scents. I feel like theres just more dimensions to smell than before… it’s hard to describe, but almost as if scent has gone multi dimensional. Scents all of a sudden are so much more complex – I can smell small fluctuations in the scents, delicate underlying scents… It’s like all of a sudden each scent is actually an orchestra of many, many scents… its really interesting and powerful. As if I had just gone to blurry vision to clear crisp vision, it’s like that but with my sense of smell. It’s incredible, actually. I wonder if I’ll get even more sensitive to it as time goes on, I guess we’ll see…

The picture above is by David Whitten, one of my favorite photographers ever. Much of his work is of the northern Utah area, where I am most recently from. I actually grew up in Vermont, but lived in Utah for 5 years. It is an incredibly beautiful state, I miss it very much :)

In epicness,
