  • My skin has totally cleared up from its recent eruptions.

  • I have been having VERY dream-filled sleep lately.

  • Bowel movements have slowed down a bit.

  • Have lost some more weight for a total of 15.2 lbs since starting the Juice Feast.

  • Endurance has definitely increased when exercising.

  • Body odor seems to have left altogether.

  • I also have noticed that I don’t have bad breath at all anymore – no matter what I’ve drank or how long its been since I brushed my teeth.

  • My body is definitely trying to get me into a regular sleep schedule – it gets sleepy at about 10pm and wakes up a little before 7am.

My fasting blood sugar this morning was 102 – a little high again. However, I had had a bunch of orange juice last last night. So basically, my sugar is fine as long as I don’t do fruit juice too late at night. So, I’ll try to keep the higher glycemic juices to during the day. David Rain assured me that I don’t really have a blood sugar issue, and this kind of reaction from the blood sugar is pretty normal. He didn’t think I needed to be too strict on not having fruit juice at night, but its probably a good idea to abstain as much as I feel. When I eat, I eat a very low glycemic diet – I rarely eat fruit, and I don’t take in many sweeteners, such as agave or honey. If one is familiar with the phases of Dr. Cousen’s ‘Rainbow Green Live Food Cuisine’, you’ll know what I mean when I say I normally eat a ‘Phase 1.5’ diet. Its only for this Juice Feast that I’m having so much fruit.

Some more questions from readers:

Hi Courtney, first time reader here too!! I love your blog, it is so inspiring to me!! I am thinking about joining the global juice feast or is it fast, in March with lots of people and support. It seems like something i definitely can do and really want to. Question: what does bee pollen do for you and where can i get it? Right now i am using vitamineral green 2X a day with water. Plus i green juice every morning. Love that so much. So, thanks for your blog, its awesome!! Michelle

Michelle,

Thank you very much, I am grateful for your visiting me  The Global Juice Feast will start in March 2008. Although I will have just finished my Juice Feast recently, I plan to join in on the first week of the Global Feast and the last week. It will be too soon for me to do another long Juice Feast. It’s going to be wonderful! You can definitely do it

Bee pollen is one of my favorite superfoods. I am incredibly magnetized to it. It’s not so much that I notice a physical difference that I directly correlate to bee pollen, but I feel so deeply that it is nourishing and vitalizing for me. I resonate soooo strongly with bee pollen. I want to make an important specification here, however. I notice a HUGE difference, in every way, between LOCAL bee pollen and commercial bee pollen. I’m talking even if you get organic bee pollen from a raw food source, it is NOTHING like the bee pollen harvested locally, fresh. It is a totally different food and a totally different experience. Try to get as fresh and local as you can. If it is really fresh, the color is bright and it almost falls apart in your fingers. It should, at least, be very soft. You’ll still get great benefit from packaged bee pollen that’s a bit old, but if you can, go for the good stuff

Bee pollen is said to have everything in it that is necessary for us to live, and has more than 5000 enzymes and co-enzymes. This is more than ANY OTHER FOOD that exists. There’s a wonderful file David Rain has put together on bee pollen and other bee products, on the membership site of www.juicefeasting.com.

Vitamineral Green is a wonderful product – keep it up! HealthForce Nutritionals is definitely one of my favorite companies out there.

In my experience and opinion, the outlook which aids the most with emotional releases is to embrace them. I try to take them as head on as I can, and I am no longer afraid to deal with super intense feelings. I used to think I shouldn’t be feeling negative feelings, but that was just denial. Intense, negative emotions are not bad, and they take courage to experience. So I see them coming and I choose to really go into them and experience them as fully as I can. It’s usually very intense, but it makes the healing so much deeper and fuller. We don’t have to identify with our emotions. Everything is short lived. It is actually a very profound experience to feel such an emotional upheaval so fully, and yet know that everything will be fine in the big picture. And that’s the other key – everything will be fine. Everthing is perfect. It also takes a lot of courage to try to keep a sense of humor and lightheartedness about it all.

A great day it was, indeed! Getting a little chillier here in southern Arizona, but the sun is still so lovely and warm in the middle of the day, I love it

Courtney
