Day 55 Juice Feast

by Courtney on December 10, 2007

Wow, today has been an incredible day for me. I’ve had indestructible soaring feelings of joy and gratitude, for no particular reason at all. I love that I am getting into these elation states more frequently and easily as time goes on. It’s like the illusion of limitedness and sorrow is just sort of transparent and I can feel and see through to the effortless joy and diversity and abundance that is always there waiting for us to see its gold lining on every thing and experience. Sorry if that was a bit sappy, it’s a poetic sort of day :D

Today’s Feast, in order of consumption:

22 oz. collard/apple juice w/ 2 TBS Nature’s First Food
32 oz. green juice w/ lemon, ginger, cayenne and turmeric
2 TBS bee pollen
24 oz. orange/grapefruit juice
22 oz. grapefruit juice

I did a wonderful workout today with some light weights. It feels so good to be back to a body size that feels comfortable to me, and makes all the difference in the enjoyment of moving my body. I can feel my body excitedly remembering what it is to be in really good shape – thats something I’m really excited to be moving towards!

I have confirmed indeed that Odwalla is owned by Coca-Cola. Read more at the following links:

A question from a reader:

Do you have any advice on coping with celery and green juice… I’m having a hard time aquiring my taste for them…

Hmm, well, this is not something I’ve dealt with, as I love both, but there are different things you can do. First, you could just combine things with fruit, perhaps fruits with very strong tastes, such as pinneapple. Coconut water makes a great combination with green juice. You could also just use the get-it-over-with approach in which you cna just down it all first thing in the morning, all at once. Get all your celery and greens done with, even if you have to hold your nose while drinking it. Another likely thing is that your taste buds could change and you could find that not only do you like the taste of these juices, you might even start to crave them! On this feast, I have never, ever craved fats or sweets. I have no interest in raw desserts whatsoever. But someone who walks by with a spirulina salad literally makes me salivate. The thought of sea veggies does it to me too. Go figure!

Love always!

Hello. I really enjoyed the video. What a lovely man. I’m sure he will do great things bringing the word of health to others.

PS: I found your blog when I recently went raw. It’s very inspiring. On a funny note, I’ve always avoided grapefruit (for juice) but one more mention of it in your daily log and I think I’m going to take the plunge. :-)
