Making Healthier Dessert Alternatives

It doesn't have to be all-or-nothing with having dessert!

Many people think that if they're not eating kale salad, then all sweet treats are basically the same, particularly if you're focused on weight loss/maintenance.

But that's not true!

You can make desserts with healthier ingredients:

-Fruit and coconut sugar instead of refined sugar.

-Oat or almond flour instead of refined wheat flour.

-Extra virgin organic coconut oil instead of canola oil.

-Vegan desserts instead of ones with butter, eggs, or milk.

I often make blondies using chickpeas as the base and brownies using black beans as the base!

Healthier desserts will be much better for your health long-term compared to junk desserts with cheap and refined ingredients.

Healthy desserts will be better for your hormonal health, better for your adrenal glands, better for your teeth, better for your pancreas — the list goes on and on.

It's not just about calories; it's about whether you're getting nutrients in your food, and whether your body recognizes what you're eating as food.

Invest some time learning healthy alternatives for your favorite desserts, and maybe some new ones you've not tried before!

What are your favorite healthy plant-based desserts?
